For instance, the KYN28-24 Metal-Clad Switchgear is suitable for medium-voltage networks up to 24kV, offering reliable protection and operational flexibility.
Metal-Clad Switchgear, like our KYN28-24 and GTXGN-12 models, uses air as the main insulation medium and provides excellent compartmentalization for safety. In contrast, Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) like the SRM6-12 uses SF6 gas for insulation, allowing for a more compact design and better performance in harsh environments or space-constrained applications.
